Adam Bly to give the keynote “Making Open Science Real” at the ICSTI 2010 Summer Conference in Helsinki
ICSTI is the International Council for Scientific and Technology Information. The theme of the two-day conference is ‘From Information to Innovation’. The conference will be hosted by VTT the Technical Research Centre of Finland, whose remit is to develop business from technology.

06.04.09: Royal Society Policy Lab
Seed founder and CEO Adam Bly delivered a lecture this June at the Royal Society in London titled “Our 21st Century Scientific Renaissance” to an audience of policymakers and scientists.
The lecture is part of the Policy Lab Series organized by the Royal Society’s newly formed Science Policy Centre, which has been developed as part of the Royal Society’s anniversary goals of influencing policymaking with the best scientific advice.

07.10.09: National Academy of Sciences - Synthetic Biology Symposium
Under the auspices of the National Academies, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the Royal Society, an international symposium was organized to bring together the scientific, engineering, legal, and policy communities along with members of the public to explore the opportunities and challenges posed by the emerging field of synthetic biology.
Adam Bly, Founder, Editor-in-Chief, CEO of Seed, spoke about public engagement and participation in science on a panel with David Rejeski, Director, Foresight and Governance Project, Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and Robert Cook-Deegan, Director, IGSP Center for Genome Ethics, Law and Policy, Duke University.
