Since its inception in 2006, ScienceBlogs has grown into the web's largest and most vibrant conversation about science and society, with more than 100 blogs and 1.5 million readers worldwide. We are now looking to hire an entrepreneurial leader to drive and manage the growth of this online business and brand.

Responsibilities will include:

• You will have P&L responsibility for the unit, working with the company's advertising sales, marketing, community, technology, editorial and design departments to drive growth
• You will develop new business opportunities, revenue streams and international markets, leveraging the unit's content and brand assets
• You will be a part of the company's management team and will help develop overall strategies and practices, especially online, to achieve our mission and business goals

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience and P&L responsibility in content- and community-based online companies
• An entrepreneurial drive to lead the growth of a successful brand
• Fluency with digital and social media and good knowledge of best practices and the state of the medium
• An affinity for our content space
