Senior Interaction Designer / Developer

Description:

Seed is seeking a superlative user interface designer who can lead interaction design for a new online venture. The successful candidate will have an enormous appetite and aptitude for generating innovative interface concepts and working experience utilizing the latest web technologies to be able to transform your ideas into optimal solutions.

Responsibilities will include:

• Designing and presenting innovative online interface concepts based on customer and stakeholder input.
• Generating written and illustrated documentation (specifications and wireframes) detailing functional requirements and capabilities.
• Developing efficient and maintainable HTML, CSS and JavaScript code for the front-end of dynamic, interactive web applications.
• Applying visual standards into new functional areas.
• Estimating and managing the delivery of design/front end assets for significant projects using internal and external design resources.
• Maintaining the highest level of quality as a key member of a cross-functional globally distributed product development team.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years prior experience working for an interactive agency or corporate online design team
• Experience designing complex, highly interactive web sites and software applications
• Strong background in creating highly usable interfaces through user-centered design practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including articulating creative concepts and the rationale behind them to stakeholders and teammates
• Excellent HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with an active knowledge of best practices for flexible, maintainable design
• Experience in using browser-based UI frameworks to create interactive applications.
• Knowledge of Flash design and Flash development skills preferred
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
