Executive Assistant to the CEO

Description:
A savvy, grounded, and articulate individual is sought to provide high-level support to our CEO and Editor-in-Chief.
Responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance and management of Chief Executive's meeting, speaking and travel schedule
- Effective prioritization of Chief Executive's time and attention
- Oversight of key relationships with both individuals and organizations
- Extensive travel planning and coordination
- Expense management (both business and personal)
- Assistance with personal errands
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have her/his Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in a similar position with a C-Level Executive. Keen attention to detail as well as the ability to juggle tasks and operate with the utmost grace under pressure are especially critical for this job. Exceptional written and spoken communication skills (impeccable spelling and grammar) are essential. So is common sense. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to serve as a gatekeeper and adhere to the highest degree of professional standards. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is a must, and familiarity with Macs is useful. Interest in science and/or media is a bonus.
Logistics:
This is a full-time position. Hours are 8:30AM-6:00PM, though overtime will regularly be required. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
