Director of Partnerships

Description:

SMG Technology is looking to hire a Director of Partnerships to establish and manage a wide range of strategic partnerships across the global scientific community.

Responsibilities will include:

• You will identify, secure and manage a wide range of partnerships with a variety of scientific organizations and institutions around the world
• You will collaborate with our analysts, product managers, and technologists to refine our software based on client specifications
• You will be a part of a small team with a big mission and you will play an integral role in shaping overall strategy and product development

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of sales, marketing or business development experience in a scientific organization (lab, society, journal, etc.)
• A very strong understanding of how science is changing at a macro level, i.e.. open access, new funding models, new technologies, etc.
• An undergraduate degree or higher in science (and lab experience) is a plus
• An overwhelming desire to be a part of something entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and meaningful
