Associate Online Art Director

Description:

The associate online art director works with the online art director and the online editorial staff to produce innovative visual design and user interactivity for web content.

Responsibilities will include:

•  Develop and produce design treatments for online content under the direction of the online art director and in association with the online editorial staff.
• Aid in developing and producing prototypes and production-ready presentation methods for online content, with an eye toward innovative user interaction and visual design.
• Assist editorial staff in preparing online content for the Content Management System.
• Coordinate photo research and editing for online projects.
• Create and produce designs for online promotions and other internal marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of directly related experience
• Grounded in design fundamentals including solid typography skills and concept development
• Actively solicits feedback, using communication skills to influence decisions
• Demonstrates attention to detail with work and process
• Understands the importance of meeting deadlines and possesses a solution-oriented attitude
• Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, exciting work environment

Required Skills:

• Solid background working with Photoshop, Illustrator
• Solid working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web image formats
• Experience with Flash animation or scripting and/or JavaScript/DHTML/AJAX technologies is a plus
• Experience with preparing video for the web is a plus
