Dennis Hersch
Director
Dennis earned his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1967 and graduated cum laude from the New York University School of Law in 1970, where he was an Articles Editor on the Annual Survey of American Law.
Following law school he joined Davis Polk & Wardwell and became a partner in 1978. From 1987 through 2005 he headed Davis Polk's mergers and acquisitions practice. His principal clients included Comcast, Limited Brands, Federal Express, Delta Airlines and Texaco. In 2003 he received the Learned Hand Award from The American Jewish Committee. In December 2005 he joined JP Morgan as Global Chairman of Mergers and Acquisitions. While at JP Morgan he represented a diverse group of clients in major transactions including XM Radio, Alcan, Celgene and Advance Newhouse Publications. In February 2008, Dennis became a business advisor to Leslie Wexner, founder and Chairman of Limited Brands.
Dennis is a member of the Board of Directors of Limited Brands, a trustee of The Wexner Foundation and a director of The Horticultural Society of New York (chairman 2003-2006). Dennis and his wife Huguette have two sons, Greg (29) and Jeremy (26). They reside in New York City and Water Mill, New York.
